Genistein is mainly found in Leguminosae, such as Sophora locust and Sophora root. Genistein is rectangular or hexagonal rod crystal (60% ethanol), dendritic crystal (ether), melting point 297-298℃ (slightly decomposed). It is soluble in DMSO and ethanol, almost insoluble in water, and the solubility in water is 8.7 μg/ml. Changing the pH of the solution has no obvious effect on genistein.
