The extract of Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino is derived from the dried whole plant of Gynostemma pentaphyllum. There are more than 80 kinds of gypenosides, 78 of which are named as gypenosides ⅰ-LXXVⅲ, some of which are ginsenosides Rb1, Rb3, Rd, and ginsenediol, 2α-hydroxy ginsenediol, 2α, 19-dihydroxy 12-deoxyginsenediol, etc. Therefore, the content determination of ginsenoside Rb1 and the standard of finished products are also based on the amount of ginsenoside Rb1. In addition, rutin flavonoids (determination with rutin as the standard), α-bosterol, champosterol and so on.
Used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and beverage, etc.
