Blackcurrant extract is derived from the genus Ribes Ribes nigrum L. (Ribes nigrum L.). Blackcurrants are rich in γ-linolenic acid and are very rich in vitamin C, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, calcium, anthocyanins and phenols.
